FTL are completely unique and work on a community based approach, with a potential customer base of 20 million homes.
FTL has been formed to replicate the Bristol-based multiple-award-winning C.H.E.E.S.E. Project CIC, (TCP) which delivers unique thermal imaging Energy Tracing® surveys to reduce energy loss from homes – thus making warmer homes and a cooler planet.
You will be joining a team of directors who have successfully developed the project over five years.
What can you do for them?
As Assistant Managing Director, you role will consist of a variety of responsibilities including building a new team, financial management, sales and customer service, strategic partnerships and business development, project management, line management and operations.
You will develop the business strategy and business plan to sustainable profit, setting meaningful KPIs in collaboration with the Board to drive all aspects of First Thermal’s operations.
You will manage deliverables necessary for launching pilot and succeeding franchises, including Franchise Manual and equipment; our bespoke Heatview® thermal cameras and Energy Tracing® Blower doors.
You will provide strong management, including planning, recruitment, training, motivation and team-building in line with First Thermal policies, values and standards.
You will conduct ongoing appraisals with all franchisees agreeing commercial development objectives.
You will conduct regular franchisee visits to ensure all franchisee Energy Tracing® is carried out to the highest possible standards.
So, you’ve read up to now, which means that you can do the job and you like the sound of the work environment but what kind of person do they need?
You will have a least five years’ experience of managing project delivery, including financial planning, team management, task allocation and budgeting within a profitable trading business.
You will have proven experience in developing and delivering a strategy to grow profitability.
You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work using your own initiative.
You will be empathetic and able to understand and manage client needs.
You will have excellent verbal, numerical and written communication skills with ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
You will have a good understanding of social enterprise, an interest in climate change and the built environment.
What is The CHEESE Project?
The Cold Homes Energy Efficiency Survey Experts (C.H.E.E.S.E.) Project is a Bristol-based not-for-profit CIC that aims to reduce domestic energy losses, at low cost and for free to people in poor housing conditions and in fuel poverty. Their unique thermal-imaging surveys identify where homes are losing heat and they will suggest remedies. This gives the information people need to make low-cost impactful remedies to reduce energy-loss, save money, improve comfort and wellbeing, and reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint.
