Our Support Centre in Yeovil is now looking for a Category Manager to join the team. This role is key in helping to establish, develop and deliver an overall category strategy which meets the demands of our customers whilst maximising the profitability for the company.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering the sales and margin targets for your categories, continuously assessing and monitoring their performance using data and insight in line with your category plan. You will manage the introduction of new products to the business and implement exit strategies for discontinued products, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged and informed, whilst monitoring market and competitor trends to ensure we are always delivering for our customers. Your ability to build relationships will assist you as you work with existing and new suppliers to ensure profitability, and through collaborations with other teams within the business.
The ideal candidate will have previous commercial experience as a Category Manager, Buyer or similar, with in-depth knowledge of building products and their supply chains. You will be highly numerate; have excellent attention to detail; be organised and have good time management to achieve all targets and deadlines set. A business qualification or degree is preferable.
