Salary: £32,943 per annum, rising to £34,264 after 3-month probation

Our Catering team work hard and take pride in what they do, creating thousands of meals a day using fresh produce prepared and delivered daily from our Central Production Kitchen in North Petherton. From our Kitchen Assistants to our Chef Managers – everyone receives professional training and support to ensure our standards of hygiene, quality and presentation are always high, especially when working in such a fast-paced environment.
Due to our rapid growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef Supervisor to join our catering team on our Hinkley Point C contract, based primarily at the main HPC site. To learn more about our partnership with Hinkley Point C, please click here.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Chef Managers, you will supervise and lead many of the team’s daily catering activities, ensuring all food is prepared on time to the highest quality standard. You’ll also assist with menu planning and be involved in the development of new products, packaging and equipment – which is crucial in our goal to be as sustainable as possible.

This is an incredibly varied role and there is a real opportunity to get stuck into the Hinkley Point C project. We are always working to improve the way we operate and our offering, and there will be opportunities to undertake project work or other tasks outside of your day-to-day tasks.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Food Safety Level 2
- Knowledge of food safety management/HAACP systems operation
- Demonstrable catering/kitchen experience at Chef level
- A conscientious approach to your work
- Clear communication skills and the ability to support others’ development
- The ability to work well in demanding situations and under time pressures
- A level 2 qualification in Health and Safety is desirable but not essential
