About the Role                                            

This is a unique role requiring someone with excellent general business experience and exceptional diligence and attention to detail to play an important role supporting the directors in the effective governance, control and risk management of this exciting high growth business.

The Pure Group comprises several companies (including some European companies).  You will support the directors of those companies by making sure there is good governance across the board.

You will take a lead on risk management for the business, ensuring the Risk Register is appropriate, up to date and relevant.  You will be expected to highlight areas of concern to the directors at any time, with proposals for mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange and support board meetings (producing agendas, taking minutes, convey decisions, handle meeting correspondence, follow up actions with attendees)
  • Create and maintain a corporate calendar for all companies in the Group (including the non-UK companies).
  • Take responsibility for all statutory Board returns, ad hoc filings and declarations (for all UK and overseas companies in the Group).
  • Identify and monitor risks to business performance, including the ownership and management of the company risk registers
  • Responsible for interrogating risks on the risk register – have we captured the right risks, is the mitigation appropriate and, at any time, testing that the mitigation is in place and remains appropriate. This checking and re-checking is an essential feature as the business continues to grow at pace and the shape/operation of the business changes.
  • Work with the directors help to implement processes or systems to ensure good governance and management of the organisation
  • Ensure the organisation has appropriate processes and controls in place to meet its obligations to protect customers and staff (including GDPR, H&S and FCA)
  • Support the directors in managing the Group’s insurance programme and ensuring it remains fit for purpose
  • Keep up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organisation related to the way in which the business is governed and run.
  • Advise directors and members of the senior leadership team on governance matters
  • Obtain independent advice from external advisors where appropriate to ensure the Group meet’s its legal, statutory, corporate and regulatory requirements.
