Starting out with colleague to colleague training, you’ll begin to take our general calls. You’ll then go on to provide excellent customer service to all Screwfix Customers. From receiving a call from someone wishing to place an order, to providing additional product information or helping a customer with a Trade Counter query; you’ll ensure outstanding customer service is delivered every time. Your proactive conversations and ‘can do’ attitude will ensure you identify opportunities to drive further sales to work towards meeting team targets.
We go out of our way to provide a work environment that motivates and encourages everyone. Our aim is to develop your skills and make the most of your potential. That’s why our contact centre is award winning!
The skills you need as a Customer Service Representative
You’ll be great at engaging with customers, creating a personal and positive experience through building strong relationships and rapport. Thriving under pressure you’ll possess a good level of resilience – our Contact Centre can get very busy! Good at problem solving and with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, you’ll be comfortable talking to a variety of people with a wide range of requirements and finding the right solutions.
You’ll need a good standard of IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Product knowledge is not essential as you’ll receive top notch training, have the support from our wider team, and excellent tools to help you through your day. That said; a passion, interest or experience in DIY would be a great start.
Innovative, successful and growing fast, we’re the UK’s number one supplier to the trade and provide a great service to DIY enthusiasts. We’re also part of Kingfisher plc, Europe’s leading DIY home improvement retailer with £10.8bn annual revenue and over 80,000 employees.
