Screwfix are recruiting for a Customer Service Representative working Weekends in Yeovil.
£8.70 per hour pension more
Saturday and Sunday – 12 hours between the hours of 7am and 6pm.
The Customer Service Representative role
Fast paced, high energy and award winning. Taking over 40,000 calls per week we strive to handle all calls at first response – no one likes repeating themselves! We provide a high quality service to our trade and DIY customers who order from our catalogues and website.
Starting in our Training Team you’ll begin to take our general calls. You’ll then go on to provide excellent customer service to all Screwfix Customers. From receiving a call from someone wishing to place an order, to providing additional product information or helping a customer with a Trade Counter query; you’ll ensure outstanding customer service is delivered every time.
Your proactive conversations and ‘can do’ attitude will ensure you identify opportunities to drive further sales to work towards meeting team targets.
We go out of our way to provide a work environment that motivates and encourages everyone. Our aim is to develop your skills and make the most of your potential. That’s why our contact centre is award winning!
The skills you need as a Customer Service Representative
You’ll be great at engaging with customers, creating a personal and positive experience through building strong relationships and rapport. Thriving under pressure you’ll possess a good level of resilience – our Contact Centre can get very busy! Good at problem solving and with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, you’ll be comfortable talking to a variety of people with a wide range of requirements and finding the right solutions.
You’ll need a good standard of IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Product knowledge is not essential as you’ll receive top notch training, have the support from our wider team, and excellent tools to help you through your day. That said; a passion, interest or experience in DIY would be a great start.
As you’ve heard, Screwfix is growing fast. But it doesn’t stop there. We also have big ambitions on the continent, as we drive forward a Pan-European website serving over 20 countries. We’re taking on more people, too. (In 2015 alone, 1,000 talented folks joined us.) We’re proud to be able to say that we’re “Leading the world in employee engagement” after being awarded the Gallup Great Place to Work Award.
You’ll be rewarded with 28 days holiday (pro rata), increasing with every years’ service to 33 days, 20% discount with Screwfix and B&Q, discounted company share save scheme, discounted healthcare with Simply Health, award winning company pension scheme, childcare vouchers, company sick pay, long service awards, subsidised staff restaurant, bike to work scheme and free staff car parking. We also offer you great training and development opportunities.
