*This role is based remotely, with the long-term requirement to work flexibly from our Yeovil Head Office when required. This role will be working directly for Kingfisher plc.

It’s an exciting time at Kingfisher where we are investing heavily in our Digital functions, as a Developer you could be responsible for either server-side application logic for integration of the front-end work. You could be writing web services & API’s used by front end developers and mobile application developers, or could be responsible for complete back end technical design and build of product/service, integrating user facing elements with server side logic, optimizing the application for maximum speed & scalability.

You will need to have worked in Scrum, XP and Kanban teams and be a specialist in front/back end development with crucial experience in software & application development programming languages; Java, knowledge of SQL/DB with JavaScript as an extra. You will need to understand the principals of TDD, BDD, CI/CD and experience implementing API frameworks. The ability to work in an Agile delivery team and understand the full Software Development Cycle.
