Development Worker

The Co-operative Development Team
  • Works with and advises enterprises and groups across a range of industries, for both new and existing enterprises; we also
  • Look for and explore new business opportunities, and initiate new development where we see a co-operative or community-led solution

Work includes:

  • Creating business feasibility studies, business and marketing plans
  • Developing financial and business models
  • Identifying appropriate legal structures and support through registration processes
  • Identifying opportunities for potential future development
  • Carrying out community engagement and publicity
  • Raising finance, including preparing funding applications and community share offers

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and growing organisation. We have three pay scales depending on your experience.

  • Lead Development Consultants £36,500 – £41,500
  • Development Consultants, £32,500 – £36,500
  • Development Workers, £27,500-£32,500

Hours: hours available between 22.5 – 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent with a probationary period of six months. Appointments are normally made at the bottom of the salary scale.

Location: Home-based, but some office working will be required from time to time for team building activities in Taunton, key events and on-site meetings with clients (across the South West).

Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata).
