Diagnostic Centre Admin Support

The Ophthalmology Team are very excited to announce a New Diagnostic Centre in Taunton for 2 full time positions

The successful candidate will be joining an NHS trust that is one of only 12 Global Digital Exemplars in the country, implementing Medisight EPR and recently received a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Ophthalmic  team.

 

The Area:

Taunton is in the beautiful county of Somerset that is well served by some of the country’s most affordable housing and plenty of opportunity for outdoor pursuits in the Quantocks and Exmoor. There is a great choice of both private and state schools in the area with results far exceeding national averages. With easy access to the beaches of Devon and Cornwall and with London only 1hr 45mins by train, Taunton provides a tremendous standard of living.

Main duties of the job

 

  • Communicate with patients, colleagues, internal and external contacts in a courteous, professional and timely manner at all times by various methods, i.e. telephone, written, face to face
  • Receive telephone calls and enquiries, taking appropriate action, or, where necessary, re-direct or accept a message on behalf of members of the specialty team
  • Report any complaints/comments or requests to the Department Supervisor/Manager immediately.  Have the knowledge and know how of when to refer to PALS
  • Report any incidents by way of Trust Incident Reporting system

Know how to operate the security alarm within the hospital
