Electronic Health Record Data Architect – 24 months term

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, along with Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are seeking applicants for our EHR Technical Architect role, to support our ambitious Digital Programmes.

Main duties of the job

 

Lead on the development of the data migration strategy for the new EHR, in collaboration with the wider digital service.

  • Support the improvement of data quality across the Trusts, ensuring data is fit for migration to the new system.
  • Lead on the review and specification of data infrastructure to support the new EHR
  • Ensure the technical architecture enables the Business Intelligence Service to deliver accurate, timely and proactive information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and implement strategic plans to ensure EHR data requirements meets existing and future needs.
  • Participate in the development of data strategies in collaboration with the BI/Analytics Team

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will :-

  • Lead on the Business Intelligence and Analytics component for strategic digital projects
  • Work in partnership with Digital and Clinical leads across the Trusts on the design, specification and delivery of data solutions related to the procurement and implementation of a new EHR.
  • Support the digital service to ensure that all data requirements and systems are designed to support and enhance improvements in clinical practice, improve safety and drive organisational efficiency, whilst meeting national standards and best practice guidance.

Be responsible for the development and delivery within the following main service areas, related to the EHR:

  • Business Intelligence and Data Flows
  • Data Warehouse Technical Service and Development
  • Information and Analytical Service
  • Data Migration Strategy
  • Data Quality Improvement
