Financial Reporting Manager

This is an exciting role to support the new Commercial Finance Strategy; reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – FP&A, you will drive business performance and decision making based on financial insight. You will have outstanding leadership skills, managing a small team to develop and implement improved financial reporting and analysis, strengthening the collaboration across the Commercial Finance teams. This is a hands-on reporting role in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent organisation and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality business performance reporting, turning impactful insight in to actions and outcomes
  • Support the creation and review of Monthly Management Accounts and Group Business Performance reporting, as well as the communication to Senior Leadership and Finance function peers
  • Own the preparation of Board and Group CEO packs, ensuring accurate and consistent performance commentary
  • Interface with Kingfisher Group Business Performance for reporting needs
  • Provide responses to the Kingfisher Investor Relation team on result announcement questions on a quarterly basis
  • Responsible for the financial reporting of the Value Taskforce Programme for the Screwfix Banner, including tracking the net benefits generated from each workstream
  • Drive continuous improvement of Commercial Finance reporting process, ensuring financial analysis accurate, efficient and prepared on time
  • Manage, coach and develop a small team of analysts to drive business performance reporting
  • Foster ways of working cross functionally through collaboration to deliver objectives

Required skills

  • Strong analytical approach, and an ability to synthesize disparate finance & non-finance data to explain complex problems simply
  • Able to oscillate between the big picture, strategic thinking and simultaneously have a strong command of the detail
  • Strong sense of ownership and excellent organisation skills; this role will choreograph all finance reporting submissions
  • Expertise in financial modelling and analytical tools
  • Excellent management skills
  • A desire to drive both continuous improvement and step changes in solution design which may require ‘out of the box’ thinking
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to new demands
