Graduate Financial Planning Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate to join our Team! Reporting to the Finance Planning Manager, you will play a key part in our financial annual budget & forecasting processes, as well as the long-term plan. This is a hands-on planning role in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent organisation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Financial Planning Manager and wider Finance team, you will assist in the planning process and support delivery of accurate performance forecasts
  • Support the planning and delivery of monthly and annual financial forecasts, as well as the long-term plan (LTP) and quantification of our Growth Plans
  • Support with Kingfisher Group Business Performance budgeting and forecasting analysis and ad-hoc queries
  • Work closely with the Finance team to prepare current month performance landing expectations
  • Ad-hoc analysis to support critical business decisions
  • Support the continuous improvement of Commercial Finance planning processes, seeking out new and improved ways of working
  • Foster ways of working cross functionally through collaboration to deliver objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Relevant degree in Finance or related discipline
  • Highly numerate, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong sense of ownership and excellent organisation skills; this role will support all finance budget and forecast submissions
  • Strong communication skills, with an engaging approach you must be able to get your point across clearly and work collaboratively with finance colleagues
  • Experience in creating financial modelling and analytical tools
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to new demands
  • Ability to resolve competing priorities
  • A desire to drive continuous improvement which may require ‘out of the box’ thinking
  • HFM experience is desirable
