Graduate IT&T Engineer
The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be involved in numerous projects of varied prices and size, you will oversee all project phases including early contractor involvement, estimating, design, construction, commissioning, handover and close-down.
The Graduate IT&T Engineer must lead by example ensuring safety is always maintained, best practices are followed, and standards always adhered to.
Day to day, you will ensure that all site activities comply not only with the client’s KPI’s and our legal and contractual obligations but also with the highest safety and quality standards.
As well as managing work on site to time and budget, you will help ensure the commercial success of the project by reviewing and setting target costs, agreeing monthly financial forecasts for monthly reporting, contributing to contract negotiations.
To be successful, you’ll be educated to degree level and have a real hunger for delivering multi-disciplinary engineering projects. You will have good organisation skills and effective decision-making experience.
Ideally you will hold EUSR SHEA Water Passport and/or EUSR Water Hygiene card, however this is not essential.
This is a busy, dynamic site so we’ll need you to be a team player who can build good working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as being someone who can work effectively in a pressured environment.
The role will be primarily site-based, but there will be period when you work in an office too. It may include working at other sites locally, so you will need a full driving licence.
Construction Operations Management Alliance (COMA) are a partnering arrangement led by the Wessex Water Group. Working with local contractors and suppliers from the south west, delivering a service on projects such as Europe’s biggest nuclear construction site at Hinkley Point C.
