Graduate Mechanical Engineer
The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be involved in numerous projects of varied prices and size, you will oversee all project phases including early contractor involvement, estimating, design, construction, commissioning, handover and close-down.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be working as part of the delivery team, helping ensure delivery of the project plan. Day to day, you will support the delivery teams with the preparation of the outline and detailed design, which will include the preparation of drawings, specifications, documentation and calculations.
As well as having an involvement managing work on site to time and budget, you will help ensure the commercial success of the project by reviewing and setting target costs, agreeing monthly financial forecasts for monthly reporting, contributing to contract negotiations.
A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable, while also having a strong attention to detail, self-motivation, a problem-solving nature and a drive to succeed.
You’ll be working with a variety of internal customers, so you’ll need great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
