Our contract at Hinkley Point C (a nuclear-licensed site) continues to grow from strength to strength and as such we have an opportunity in our commercial team for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor.
This role will see you be responsible as a key member of the on-site commercial team for supporting our operational and construction teams in all aspects of pre and post contract duties.
You will perform cost estimations, prepare contracts and process payments. You will also negotiate variations, applications and final accounts, both for our subcontractors and our client, in addition to carrying out up to date and accurate cost value forecasting and reporting.
Day to day, you will be attending site valuations and meetings related to progress payments, variations and any claims. Most of all, you are expected to understand and be committed to the company mission, values, goals and department character.
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying and/or RICS/ICES membership is desirable, while also having a strong attention to detail, self-motivation, a problem-solving nature and a drive to succeed.
You’ll be working with a variety of internal customers, so you’ll need great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
