Graduate Trainee Planner

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will join a team of planners helping to deliver a variety of projects at Hinkley Point C. Day to day you will work directly with Project Managers, designers & support teams, shadowing an experienced planner while you learn the various aspects of the role. The planning role allows you to see projects through from concept to completion giving you a broad understanding of project delivery & programme management.
As you progress you will take on responsibility for planning a number of projects building up to a full portfolio of projects within one of our delivery teams.
You will need to liaise with the Project Management team, designers, contractors and maintain accurate programmes within Primavera P6.
This is a big development role, so the successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude, who is confident, driven and self-motivated. To be considered, you’ll have achieved a degree or post A-Level qualifications.
A working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word would be an advantage, together with an interest of M&E projects.
You will be flexible in your approach, willing to challenge convention and contribute to the successful delivery of services to COMA. This is a busy role and you will deal with a range of teams across the business.
Due to the remote nature of the role, you will be required to hold a full valid UK driving licence.
Construction Operations Management Alliance (COMA) are a partnering arrangement led by the Wessex Water Group. Working with local contractors and suppliers from the south west, delivering a service on projects such as Europe’s biggest nuclear construction site at Hinkley Point C.
