Head of People
We are looking for a Head of People to join our People Team here at Butlin’s Minehead
About the role:
Responsible for all people related activity including recruitment, learning, development & talent management.
Accountable for managing and delivering change, along with leading and coaching the teams to deliver the Butlin’s people strategy of Get, Grow, Keep which will result in delivering a truly amazing place to work where our team always makes a difference to our guests.
The role is an integral part of the Resort Leadership team reporting into the Resort Director with a dotted line to the Butlin’s People Director.
Working with the Resort Leadership team to ensure we have the right team, in the right place with the right skill set so we may provide our guests with memories that will last a lifetime and to support delivery of all Butlin’s priorities.
The planning, implementation and quarterly review of the resort recruitment plan ensuring the resort team have an all-inclusive and diverse talent pipeline available to meet business needs.
Coaching and developing the Resort Leadership Team so we can grow talent and deliver exceptional service to our guests, identifying all knowledge and skill gaps and the actions required to support continuous improvement.
Leading the People Change activity agenda to ensure that the leaders are equipped and skilled to deliver change is essential.
Holding quarterly people reviews with our leaders to ensure delivery of key people metrics with action plans in place to deliver results.
Coaching the leaders to improve performance across all areas and to be the custodian of performance management, personal development plans and regular reviews.
Ensure good quality training and coaching is in place and leaders take ownership for all new starters and deliver a great First 90-day experience.
Develop Organisational Capabilities using My Bourne Talent Hub and developing team through internal and external training interventions.
In conjunction with the Resort Director and Resort General Manager hold listening groups every month.
Ensure timely team celebration, reward and recognition happens on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Implement People practices, policies and procedures.
As the leader of the Resort People team you will be responsible for Team Accommodation and Team Nursery.
We are looking for:
Large/Multi-site Senior People role held for at least 5 years.
An engaging communicator.
Successful track record of leading and developing teams.
Consistently demonstrates strong leadership and influencing skills at all levels.
Ability to manage the people and change agenda through the line by influencing and engaging at all levels.
Ability to influence issues with sound judgement understanding and interpreting complex situations.
Confident to provide constructive and timely feedback to support the development of others.
Desirable: CIPD Qualified to level 5 and chartered membership.
