Housing Occupational Therapist
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated practitioner to join our established team of Housing Occupational Therapists in Adult Social Care.
Based in Sedgemoor, you will work closely with our housing providers and district councils to support people to access Housing Options which will improve their health and wellbeing and maximise their independence.
Supporting people through relocation, advising on new build developments, working on assistive technology solutions for supported living, educating and supporting our community teams – the role is varied and challenging and requires an Occupational Therapist with drive and passion.
Accessible environments really can change lives and this role gives you the opportunity not only to work with individuals but to influence and guide policy change system wide.
A few things about you
We are looking for qualified Housing Occupational Therapists who are unafraid to do things differently. You will:
- Be HCPC Registered
- Have a good knowledge of complex adaptations and the Disabled Facility grant process.
- Be able to communicate at all levels and form good working relations with colleagues and clients alike.
- Be solution focused to support people to be independent
- Be experienced within Social Care
- Be passionate about advocating for others.
You will influence the development of the adult social care service, you will bring your ideas to the table and you will be encouraged to make improvements to ways of working. We want you to invest in this journey as much as we will invest in you.
Access to/use of a vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
