The HSE Advisor’s role is to monitor the Company’s health and safety, assess risks, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within the workplace whilst ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.
Health and Safety Advisors are mainly responsible for preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace and ensuring that all staff are provided with a safe and secure environment to work in at all times.
Advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments and method statements for various projects in line with client SLA’s / KPI’s.
Work with on site management in the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of Business Unit specific HSE policies and procedures
Prepare safety and environmental reports as required
Conduct in conjunction with client monthly emergency exercises
Monitor occupational health requirements, ensuring statutory monitoring is carried out as required.
Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections in accordance with the Integrated Management system
Prepare and deliver training courses / tool box talks to ensure full knowledge of H&S requirements and techniques
Report to site HSEQ Manager of HSE activities
Conduct accident / incident investigations and prepare reports for internal / external purposes
Provide HSE advice and direction to on site management, staff and contractors
Assist site management in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training for clients, own employees and other interested parties/stakeholders
Sharing information, suggestions and observations to create consistency throughout the Company
Assist other members of the team in across business unit audits
Qualifications and Experience:
NEBOSH Healthy and Safety Certificate
HSE Managers and Professionals or CCNSG
Minimum 2 years HSE experience
Experience of HSE in heavy industry, contract environment
