We are recruiting for a Learning & Organisational Development Officer.
South West Councils is a regional public sector organisation. We bring together local authorities, police, fire & rescue services, parish and town councils and other associate organisations and support them with all aspects of their employer role.
We also offer a wide range of learning and developmental activities to support our member organisations and partners in developing a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
We are an approved End-Point Assessment Organisation delivering assessment on a range of Standards for employers nationally.
About the role:
- Manage apprentices throughout their EPA period
- Provide support and guidance to training providers and employers
- Develop the skills and understanding of our assessors
- Contribute towards the design of assessment tools and materials
- Contribute to the delivery of a range of learning and development programmes outside of EPA
- Participate in the evaluation and ongoing improvement of our EPA and learning and development provision
You will possess strong communication skills, be able to network with key customers including senior managers and work as an effective team member. You will be good at spotting opportunities to promote services, training and facilitation. You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a small team, so a flexible approach is also required.
We are seeking someone with a training and assessment background to work with us as we grow our apprenticeship End-Point Assessment provision.
