Maintenance Worker Electrical

This is an important position in the Electrical Maintenance Team. You will be responsible to the Electrical Team Technician for carrying out basic electrical maintenance and PPMs and documenting them correctly. There will be maintenance procedure sheets to follow and complete. You will be working with a variety of systems including

  • LV distribution, lighting and power
  • Diesel generators, UPS and IPS backup power
  • Fire detection and alarms
  • Nurse call

 

Main duties of the job

 

  • To communicate with Clients, Team members, Managers, groups of staff or complete departments who may be awaiting urgent or routine maintenance Verbally or Electronically
  • Provide professional communication to members of the public and other external entities
  • Organise and manage access for works to be completed
  • Attend team meetings to gain Trust, Directorate and service information
  • Report all hazards or potential hazards that could involve patients, visitors or staff.

Be aware of the need for confidentiality both within the written and spoken word at all times

  • Willingness to undertake training including self-directed study
  • Willingness to attend relevant training courses • Numerate and literate
  • equivalent previous trade knowledge & Experience
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant NVQ level 3 or Vocational Qualifications level 3
  • GCSE
