You will be the face of Nuffield Health and sensitive to our customer’s needs. As an Outpatient Administrator you will;

  • Use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships.
  • Put people at ease when they visit your department.
  • Answer the phone, dealing with enquiries and booking appointments.
  • Welcome patients, in person, and directing them to the appropriate changing or waiting rooms – Crucially, you will also help the department run smoothly by preparing clinical paperwork, referral forms and charge sheets, plus terms and conditions.

The Person

To succeed as an Outpatient Administrator you will have;

  • Great communication skills.
  • The ability to explain sensitive or complicated information in a clear, sympathetic and easily understood way.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of working within Healthcare administration or a relevant reception environment.
  • Good IT and keyboard skills.

Key information about the role

This role is a permanent role for 22.5 hours per week. These hours will consist of 3 shifts on a rolling rota basis. The shifts will be 7.5 hours long and will rotate between: 07:00-15:00, 09:00-17:00 or 13:00-21:00. On the very occasional Monday, our outpatient department opens until 22:00 and therefore the shift will finish at 22:00 and we require the successful candidate to work until 22:00 on this day.

Due to the requirements in the department, we are unable to offer set days or to change the shift start or end times, therefore, when applying for this role please ensure you’re able to fulfil these requirements.

Salary – £8.94 per hour

Contract – Permanent, part-time

Weekly hours – 22.5
