Paraplanner

Working with the Paraplanning team and Independent Financial Advisers, provide exceptional technical support and ensure high levels of service are provided to our clients; all in support of the business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreed
  • Prepare and maintain client files
  • Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative client data
  • Discuss client objectives with IFAs
  • Identify and prioritise client’s needs

Prepare recommendations

  • Identify areas for planning
  • Undertake research and identify appropriate solutions both independently and with the IFAs
  • Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/signed off by IFAs

Implement recommendations

  • Prepare suitability letters in accordance with agreed recommendations
  • Complete applications/proposal forms where required
  • Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order
  • Make changes to clients’ investments or implement the chosen investment strategies as instructed
  • Complete draft reports within target deadline

Review

  • Act as main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication
  • Establish and build strong relationships with clients and attend client meetings with IFAs if required
  • Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile etc.
  • Send planning figures to client for update and revision in preparation for review

Meeting

  • Assist with training & coaching of colleagues
  • Build strong client and IFA relationships
  • Adhere to all Company, regulatory and compliance guideline requirements
  • Maintain own technical competence
  • Support colleagues from all areas of the business as required

Qualifications

  • Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Chartered Insurance Institute Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and Chartered Financial Planner status desirable
