We have exciting opportunities for Support workers to join our new teams working across Langport and Taunton, in Somerset, supporting people with Learning disabilities in their own homes.
Two new locations are supporting a young man and lady moving into their first home together in Langport with a further young man moving into his new home near Taunton.
Looking forward to this next step in their lives, you will work alongside our values to ensure they are supported to developed their independent living skills, maintain current and explore new social opportunities, as well as living the best life.
You will be a driver with access to your own car and with business insurance, as you will be required to drive as part of this role.
At Affinity Trust all of the people we support have a learning disability but many have associated health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disability or mental health needs.

Skills & Experience
You will need to be able to work flexibly across a 7 – day rota to include early shifts (7am-2.30pm) and late shifts (2.30pm-10pm), in addition occasional weekends and bank holidays. You will also be required to undertake sleep in shifts as part of your rota, for which an additional set amount is paid, per sleep in.

All our Support Workers complete shadow shifts before working with the people we support and those that have not previously worked in care will be supported with completing the Care Certificate.
