We are recruiting for a People Officer in Bridgwater.

The role of the People function is changing and with it the People Team has undergone a significant restructure that introduces additional capacity to more closely align its services in support of delivering the Council’s key priorities. We have two exciting new opportunities to join the team and play your part in developing and delivering new and enhanced services to meet the changing world of work.

The People Officer role is the perfect opportunity for a level 5 CIPD qualified and experienced HR practitioner to provide operational support and policy advice to managers on recruitment, health and welfare, job evaluation and employee relations issues, ensuring that individual cases are professionally managed and progressed timeously.

Working as part of the People Team you will have the opportunity to work on a range of interesting projects to further your development and provide support to the two Business Partners in researching, analysing and recommending practical solutions to improve the service. This post is also responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of training across the organisation.
