You will advise on professional practice within a fast moving social care environment and be able to influence at all levels.

You will identify national guidelines and practice that can improve practice in Somerset as well as influence and be involved in developing national practice.

You will ensure that the promoting independence model of working is embedded in all practice.

You will enjoy the challenge and variety of working with managers and staff across all areas of the council, including mental health and learning disability teams.

A few things about you

We are looking for a forward thinking, innovative leader who are not afraid to do things differently to create support that is better for people.

You’ll be driven by your passion for making a genuinely positive difference to lives of service users. This will be backed up by your considerable knowledge and experience of social work.
