Radiotherapy Support Officer

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy, friendly radiotherapy team as a Radiotherapy Support Officer.

Main duties of the job


The role involves a range of administrative and some clinical work to support patient care and treatment processes which will require interaction with patients and staff.

You should be flexible in your approach to work and be able to act on your own initiative.

You will be supporting our amazing team of Radiotherapy Radiographers and take on a wide variety of duties. and we will provide training too to support you.

Person specification

Qualificatins and Training

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of general education
  • Must be able to communicate in English Language, both written and verbally
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant qualification equivalent to NVQ2


Essential criteria
  • Proficient IT knowledge; in particular MS Office with intermediate level knowledge in Excel and Word applications
Desirable criteria
  • Management of databases; recording and retrieval of information, data interrogation and graphical presentation
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Clinical Systems


Essential criteria
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Ability to organise own time
  • Ability to communicate whilst maintaining confidentiality


Essential criteria
  • Willingness to undertake further training
  • Able to cope in a busy working environment
