Relief Health Visitors
Somerset Public Health Nursing Team is delivered through Somerset County Council. For qualified nursing staff we offer Agenda for Change pay scales. We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our dynamic Health Visiting Teams as a relief Health Visitor, with opportunities that cover the whole of Central and East Mendip.
Here’s what you can expect to be doing
The Health Visitor service comprises of skill mix teams that deliver core and targeted health input through the Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years aged children and their families.
This is an opportunity to work on our Bank to backfill maternity leaves and long-term sickness and to support the teams to continue to offer a health visiting service to their local area.
A few things about you
This is an opportunity for Qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurses in Health Visiting who do not wish to commit to a permanent post at present, but are passionate about health visiting.
You will need to be a highly motivated, innovative and adaptable practitioner.
You must also have good leadership skills and a knowledge base in safeguarding and child protection processes.
In addition to this, you must have a strong Public Health focus and be fully committed to improving the health and well-being of our children and families in Somerset.
You must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for work. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
