This new role will play a key part in ensuring Adult Social Care in Somerset has the resources to interpret, respond to, introduce and maintain accurate and user-friendly policy and procedures, enhance our performance monitoring and reporting capability, as well as supporting the significant implementation and delivery activity associated with the new duty to review and assess Local Authority performance from April 2023.

A few things about you
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong appreciation of the adult social care legislative framework, and a sound appreciation of the current wider public sector context and developments.
You’ll be driven by a commitment to delivering transformation and improving service delivery. This should be backed up by your considerable knowledge and experience of working effectively in partnership and in a policy and/or performance environment.
You will need to be:
- educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
- decisive, with the ability to analyse detailed information and address complex issues
- highly IT literate with very strong and efficient administrative skills
- able to prepare and present complex issues, data and reports in a clear and convincing manner
- able to work at pace
- Experienced in supervision with the ability to achieve results through others.

Salary £42,614 per annum
