Bylor are looking for Supervisors to work with them on the HPC Project, to provide construction of Nuclear concrete to the NNB & Bylor Safety and Quality standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote initiatives relating to Health and Safety, Environmental, Product Development & improved performance
  • Ensure that the customer receives a professional service
  • Maximise the utilisation of labour, sub contractors, plant and material to its full potential
  • Ensure the correct labour, plant and materials are delivered on time to site
  • Ensure the highest level of installation of all products and services as per our standards documentation
  • Contribute, implement and promote company policy
  • Assign work to the employee and sub contractors with the correct skills and living closest to site
  • Manage worksheet prcess and resolve pay queries where able
  • Schedule regular site visits identifying good and bad practices in line with Bylor standards document
  • Ensure accurate completion of any paperwork and monitor being received in office
  • Liaise with site management re general site requirements
  • Organise any PPE required by operatives
  • Work closely with management
  • Attend and participate in periodic meetings
  • Ensure accurate plant damage and report for each work area
  • Address any safety issues ensuring that the correct safe working procedures are carried out at all times and share good and bad practices
  • Inspect and assess any equipment that has been damaged be that direct or any other rehired equipment
  • Manage operative’s holiday rota ensuring that adequate cover will be provided and communicated to all parties
  • Update all operatives regarding any safety and new regulation changes and to act as a communication champion for the workforce
  • Deal with any new hires, off hires, whilst reporting damage to site and office
  • Ensure that all operatoves day passess and site inductions are organised
  • Monitor and allocate resource to projects
  • Utilise other supervisors and forecasting to deploy labour in the most cost effective manner across the whole site
  • Ensure thet Bylor/NNB safety policy is implemented
  • Share best practice between projects across site to maximise productivity
  • Identify and feedback on any potential HR Issues
  • Enure working hours are monitored and authorised as appropriate
  • Deliver and record tool box talks and safety briefing as required

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of each product line and have some level of the industry and business needs
  • Numerate and accurate
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Logical and to have good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Possess a good operational knowledge of the business
  • Confident and understanding with both the staff and customers alike
  • Possess good negotiation skills
    • – IT literate
    • – Good communicator at all levels
    • – Good technical knowledge
    • – Full clean & current driving license
  • Have the ability to support and motivate


  • NVQ2 in trade background
  • Ideally NVQ3 Occupational supervisor
  • Supervisor HSE test within the last 5 years
  • Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
  • Ability to commit to ILM course
