Team Leader – Family Support and School Liaison Service
Ups and Downs Southwest is a Down Syndrome Support charity working with children, families and professionals across the South West. We carry out direct family support work and offer training packages to professionals from the health, education and social care sectors.
With over 20 years’ experience, we are the ‘go to’ service for all families, professionals and all those involved in the care and education of children and young people who have Down Syndrome.
The Family Support and Schools Liaison Team Leader will play a key role in the operation of the charity and its services. He/she will manage and lead the family support team, schools service, youth service and volunteer befrienders, maintain and create successful links and working relationships with statutory providers and other agencies and work closely with the charities Director to contribute and implement the strategic vision and operational plan of the charity.
The successful applicant will be joining the small but busy team based in Westonzoyland which is just 4 miles outside the town of Bridgwater.
