*This role is based remotely, with the long-term requirement to work flexibly from our Yeovil Head Office when required. This role will be working directly for Kingfisher plc.

It’s an exciting time at Kingfisher where we are investing heavily in our Digital functions, as a Tech Lead you’ll lead from the front and are sought-after for technical mentorship from across our teams. Over time, you will gain a depth of knowledge in the components of our technology stack assigned components. Whilst you will be operating at a senior level we still expect you to be a significant contributor to the teams that work with you day-to-day.

Leading and understanding our architectural standards and engineering methodologies is a must to be able to define and implement our software architectural quality attributes such as performance. Working alongside Solution and Enterprise Architects to evaluate and make technical decisions to craft a solution, taking these solution designs and translate into a technology roadmap that can b digested ad delivered by teams. Whilst working with the Infrastructure team you help to drive solid designs and then guide the development teams to ensure they release frequently and automatically through pe-production to production.

You will have a proven track record of ownership and crafting major improvements in large scale business-critical systems around stability, security, and scalability as you will be responsible for the technical direction of major areas of our technology stack. You should have experience in leading on the resolution of technical challenges through cross-team working and communication and the ability to influence and bring people onboard.

You’ll be working in a feature team with delivery leads, scrum masters, solution architects, technical leads, software engineers, analysts and testers in a collaborative environment to secure solutions. Using TDD to develop scalable and maintainable applications. Assisting with the continual deployment of our applications into a production environment and provide support for these applications. Ability to proactively contribute to bug fixing and maintaining applications whilst always striving to reduce technical debt in the process.
