Transport Administrator

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Administrator to join our Transport Team on a part-time basis, 24-32 hours per week.  Reporting to the Fleet Manager and based at our Support Centre in Yeovil, this role provides full administration support for the Transport department.

In this role, you will deliver a strong and flexible customer service, providing administrative support and guidance in connection with commercial vehicles, plant and drivers across the company.   The role covers a range of duties and responsibilities which include:

  • Ensuring data on fleet management system is maintained, including driver records.
  • Liaising and working with drivers to ensure driver and vehicle compliance.
  • Liaising and working with the lease companies re vehicle management including quotes and order for new vehicles and assets.
  • Working with the insurers in connection with damage and repairs to company assets, and managing own fault incidents
  • Maintaining the company Operator Licences and ensuring compliance
  • Arranging and managing long and short term hire cars
  • Ensuring vehicle compliance including MOTs, service/inspections.


You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal and strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise your workload to ensure tasks are completed on time. Along with a confident and positive attitude, you will also enjoy being part of a team. You must have experience of working in an administrative capacity along with good PC skills; competent to intermediate level in Excel, Work and Outlook office applications.

Experience of working in a similar environment with a focus on transport/fleet management is preferred but not essential. We are more interested in a can-do attitude and a willingness to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
