A&S Police piloting supported employment program (SEND)

Avon and Somerset Police have exciting plans as they announce they are piloting a SEND Supported Employment Traineeship.

The programme is open to 18-25 year olds who have SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) and autism. 

The new traineeship programme involves periods of skills training by exploring different careers and receiving continuous feedback and job coaching.

Participants will be working alongside police employees in a variety of roles, getting hands-on practical experience.

The Supported Employment Traineeship starts in September 2022 and you can find out full detals either in person or virtually.

There are two information events are being held on March 29th and March 31st to give you an opportunity to find out more.

Tues 29th March – 5pm-7pm at: Bridgwater Police Centre

Thurs 31st March – 10am-12pm a virtual event

Thurs 31st March – 2pm-4pm a virtual event
