Yeovil 4 Work is a voluntary programme run by YCC that provides support for unemployed people to aid them in looking for work.

Get support with writing or updating your CV, looking for jobs, completing application forms, interview support and any other help we can.

We run a Job Club on Friday mornings from 9.30am – 12.30pm at The Gateway.

At the Yeovil 4 work job club we provide a warm and friendly space with free tea, coffee, biscuits and Internet connection. People looking for work are welcome to drop in at any time during a session. For more information please feel free to contact us.

The Employment Hubs are a free employment support service covering Taunton, West Somerset and Wellington. Your pathway towards work!

Our friendly team can help you with:

  • Guidance on opportunities for learning, training and work
  • Confidence building to return to work
  • Help with job applications, covering letters, CVs and interview skills
  • Funding to access employment and learning opportunities (e.g transport, PPE and books)
  • Referral for further support including IT, Citizens Advice, apprenticeship advice, Citizens Advice and positive mental health
  • Links to volunteer work
  • Identify any other barriers that stop you from progressing
  • Regular one to one support for as long as you need it

Work Wise Taunton is a Somerset based charity which offers free support to job seekers.

Laptops and free wifi are provided for use is a safe and friendly atmosphere. Help is available if required by mentors who volunteer.

They can help with emails, CV writing, job applications, cover letters and interview preparation.

No appointment is needed, simply pop in. Tea, coffee & biscuits are on offer too.
